Holey Cube
This cube is made of 72 Post-it® notes (the super sticky variety), although none of the stickiness is actually used to keep the structure together. Here is the video of making it.
The cube has 6 sides, and opposite sides look identical. I built it out of sticky notes of 3 different colors, 24 notes each. The unit is the same in each case, so I start by making 72 of them. After that, there are variations in folding the units — some are left as-is, some are folded once, some twice.
The tough part of building it was sequencing the connections in a way that wouldn’t block me from reaching into the cube to connect something later. The plan of building it bottom-up, one layer at a time worked pretty well. And as usual, the toughest part was putting in the final piece without creasing or deforming anything by mistake.
